Debt Counselling is an effective solution for people in serious debt. If you are struggling to make your monthly repayments and are been harassed by creditors use Debt Counselling and take control of your finances.

How do I apply for Debt Counselling?

You must first complete an application form, called a Form 16. A qualified Debt Consultant will contact you to make sure you have completed the form correctly and explain the whole procedure to you.

Will my creditors stop calling me?

Yes, once your application has been processed, the Debt Counselling agency will deal with them directly.

Do I have to be employed to apply for Debt Review?

Yes, unfortunately you have to be employed. You have to prove you can pay your creditors. But if your partner is employed you can apply jointly under one application.

I have received a summons can Debt Counselling still help me?

You will have to negotiate a payment plan with your creditors first to stop repossession. Your creditors have to agree to a payment plan and allowing you to put it through Debt Counselling.

Who do I pay every month when in Debt Counselling and is it safe?

YES, it is safe and you are protected by the NCR (National Credit Act). Payments are made directly to the NCR accredited Public Distribution Agent. At no stage is your money being handled by the Debt Counselling agency.
